Platja de Fornells

A small, calm beach on the sheltered inner shore of the bay, within walking distance of the village centre. The water is shallow and clear, with sea-grass beds visible beneath the surface. No facilities beyond a few summer sun loungers; best visited in the morning before the afternoon boats stir up the bay.

A story
The beach at Fornells is a modest strip of sand on the sheltered inner side of the bay, calm enough for small children and shallow enough to wade far out. It is not the island's most spectacular beach — those require a drive to the wilder north coast — but its proximity to the village and the gentle conditions make it the most practical for a casual swim between lunch and exploring the waterfront.
