A small, slightly eerie museum tucked inside the medical faculty of the University of Valladolid, displaying anatomical models, preserved specimens, surgical instruments, and 19th-century wax figures of dissected bodies. It is not a museum for the squeamish and its opening hours are limited — usually a few mornings a week, on guided visits arranged through the faculty.
For those interested in the history of medicine, the collection is rare and rewarding. The wax pathology models are particularly striking, ranging from skin diseases to obstetric complications. Check current opening times at the faculty before turning up.
