The Torre de Bujaco is perhaps the most recognisable tower in Cáceres, standing at the corner of the old town wall facing the Plaza Mayor. It marks the most photogenic junction in the city — the medieval gate of the Arco de la Estrella on one side and the tower on the other, with the old town rising behind.
The tower has a small museum inside covering the history of the city's defensive walls, with models and archaeological finds. Climb to the top for panoramic views over the Plaza Mayor and across the rooftops of the old town. Entry fee is modest; it pairs naturally with a walk along the remaining sections of the city wall.
