Getting Around

The city centre is compact and almost entirely walkable — you can cross the peninsula in 20 minutes on foot. The Paseo Marítimo promenade makes for a scenic route between the old town and the Torre de Hércules.

Bus: The urban bus network (Tranvías) covers the whole city. Route 12 connects the city centre to the airport. Single tickets can be bought on board; a rechargeable card (Bono Bus) is cheaper if you are staying several days.

Bicycle: The council runs a public bike-share scheme, BiciCoruña, with docking stations throughout the centre and along the seafront. The Paseo Marítimo has a dedicated cycle lane the full length of the promenade.

Taxi: Taxis are metered and not expensive by Spanish standards. The main taxi rank is on the Plaza de Galicia.
