Tui is about 30 kilometres south of Vigo on the A-55 motorway. By car from Vigo, the journey takes about 25 minutes. The nearest airport is Vigo (VGO), with connections to Madrid and several other Spanish cities.
There is regular bus service between Vigo and Tui (operated by AUTNA), with several services per day. The journey takes about 45 minutes. Trains on the Vigo-Porto line stop at Guillarei, about 3 kilometres from the old town — a taxi or bus connection is needed for the final stretch.
From Portugal: Valença do Minho is directly across the bridge, and buses connect Valença to Porto and other Portuguese cities. The combination of bus from Porto to Valença and walk across the bridge is a scenic alternative approach.
