Platja de la Roda

Central pebble beach in Altea, backed by the promenade and close to the old town.

Platja de la Roda is Altea's easy town beach, running along the seafront below the old quarter. It is pebbly rather than sandy, but the water is clear, the promenade is right behind it, and you can move quickly from a swim to lunch or a climb up to the church square.

This is not the wildest beach on the Costa Blanca, and that is the point. Use it when you want a low-effort swim, a morning walk by the water, or a sunset pause before heading back into Altea's whitewashed lanes.
