Benicàssim's beach season runs roughly from June to early October, with sea temperatures comfortable for swimming throughout. July brings the FIB festival and a sharp spike in prices; August is the Spanish family-holiday month and the busiest, though almost everything is open and the atmosphere is lively. June and September are the best months for combining good weather with a more relaxed town. Off-season (October to April) most of the beachfront hotels and restaurants are closed, but the Desert de les Palmes is at its best for hiking — cooler, greener, and quieter.
