Behind a historic facade it gathers fashion boutiques, jewellers, beauty shops, and cafés under a glass roof, with the celebrated Sturebadet bathhouse — a restored art nouveau spa dating from 1885 — tucked within the complex.
It anchors the cluster of designer shopping that runs along Biblioteksgatan and the surrounding streets, the most upmarket retail in the city. Even if the price tags are steep, the arcade is a pleasant, polished place to browse and shelter from Stockholm weather, and Stureplan outside is one of the city's main nightlife crossroads after dark.
