The 4 Vallées is the largest connected ski area in Switzerland, linking Verbier with Nendaz, Veysonnaz, Thyon, La Tzoumaz and Bruson via more than 90 lifts and 410 km of marked piste. The terrain ranges from gentle beginner runs above La Tzoumaz to some of the steepest patrolled blacks in the Alps below Mont Fort.
Most of the famous runs cluster on the Verbier side — Tortin, Mont Gelé, Mont Fort, and the long descent down to Le Châble. Lift passes are sold for one day to a full season; a 4 Vallées six-day adult pass typically costs around CHF 460. Off-piste itineraries (the Stairway to Heaven, the Hidden Valley, the descent from Col des Mines) are world-class but require a guide.
