Lviv Danylo Halytskyi International Airport (LWO) has connections to major European cities including Warsaw, Vienna, Munich, and Istanbul. Polish carrier LOT and Ukrainian International Airlines serve the airport, as do several low-cost carriers. The journey from Kyiv by high-speed train (Intercity+) takes around 5–6 hours; the overnight sleeper is a comfortable option. There are also good rail connections from Warsaw and Przemysl in Poland — the border crossing is straightforward for EU citizens and most Western passport holders.
Within Ukraine, bus services from Kyiv and other major cities are frequent and significantly cheaper than the train, though slower. Marshrutky (shared minibuses) also operate on many routes. Driving is possible from Poland via the Shegyni or Krakovets border crossings.
