The House of Scientists is one of Lviv’s most theatrical interiors, built as the former Galician casino and now used for receptions, conferences, concerts, and photo sessions. Its carved wooden staircase, balconies, and salon-like rooms make it a rewarding architectural stop even when there is no event on.
It is close enough to the old centre to fold into a walk between Lviv’s churches, cafes, and late Habsburg streets. Access can vary with events, so treat it as a flexible stop rather than a guaranteed museum visit; when open, it shows a grander, more aristocratic side of the city than the street outside suggests.
