Windmill Hill Windmill is one of the oldest post mills in Sussex, restored from a near-ruin after a long local rescue effort. Its timber body and sails make a handsome rural stop north of Eastbourne, especially if you are already exploring Pevensey or the villages inland.
The mill usually opens for guided visits on Sundays from Easter to October. Check before setting out, as the appeal is much stronger when you can go inside and understand how the machinery worked.
