Winkworth Arboretum is a National Trust landscape garden south of Guildford, known for its tree and shrub collections around a chain of lakes. Spring flowers and autumn colour are the main draws, but the paths make it a pleasant nature stop through much of the year.
The arboretum works well as a half-day outing from Guildford or Godalming. Expect woodland paths, lake views, and a more natural feel than a formal garden.
