A small but well-presented natural history museum facing Canoe Lake in Southsea. Displays cover the geology and wildlife of the Hampshire coast — birds, fossils, reptiles, freshwater and marine fish — and a free-flying butterfly house operates from spring to autumn in a glasshouse at the back.
It's free to enter and very popular with families. Combine with a walk around Canoe Lake and the rose garden at Lumps Fort.
