Windsor Parish Church of St John the Baptist stands just below the castle walls, close enough to be easy to miss in the royal glare. The present church dates from 1822, though worship on the site goes back much further, and the interior rewards a short look for its memorials and Francis Cleyn's large painting of the Last Supper, given by George III after it hung in St George's Chapel.
