Shrewsbury Museum and Art Gallery is the town's main civic museum, covering Shrewsbury from prehistory through its medieval, Tudor, and later history. The displays are compact but useful before or after walking the old centre.
The art gallery adds changing exhibitions and local collections, making this one of the better indoor stops in town.
