St Alkmund's Church stands close to Fish Street in the tight medieval core of Shrewsbury. The site has a long history, traditionally linked to the Mercian prince and saint Alkmund, though the present church is largely later.
It is a secondary stop beside stronger Shrewsbury sights such as St Mary's, the Shuts, and the Old Market Hall, but worth a look while walking the lanes around Fish Street. The church also hosts concerts and local events through the year.
