Bars and Cafes

Wolverhampton's bar and café scene is centred on the city centre and around the university campus. The city has a student population that keeps a decent range of bars open, and the West Midlands Metro connection to Birmingham means Wolverhampton operates as part of a wider night-time economy.

For coffee, the independents are scattered around the pedestrianised centre and the area near the University of Wolverhampton on Wulfruna Street. For drinks, the pubs around the market and along Lichfield Street range from Victorian public houses to newer bars. The city centre gets busy on Friday and Saturday nights, particularly the area around Broad Street and the adjacent streets.
