Wolverhampton has good rail connections. The city is on the West Coast Main Line between London Euston and Birmingham (journey time from Euston: around 1 hour 20 minutes on fast services). It is also served by CrossCountry and local West Midlands services, making Birmingham New Street about 20 minutes away.
The city has its own metro stop on the West Midlands Metro tram network, which connects through the Black Country to Birmingham city centre — useful for day trips without the need to drive. The tram stop is central and within walking distance of the art gallery and the Grand Theatre.
By road, Wolverhampton sits on the M6, with junctions 10 (south) and 10A (north) giving access to the city. Parking in the centre is plentiful and reasonably priced by major city standards.
