Belfast Exposed is a photography gallery in the Cathedral Quarter, close enough to the city centre to fold into a wider walk through Donegall Street and the lanes around St Anne's Cathedral. Its exhibitions tend to suit Belfast well: documentary work, identity, community, conflict, and the visual language of a city that has been photographed intensely for decades.
The gallery is small, so it is not an all-afternoon museum. Its value is in the pause it gives you between bigger sights: a contemporary, locally grounded room where Belfast is looked at rather than merely explained.
