A dramatic two-tier waterfall deep in a wooded glen, reached by a 2-mile walk from the village through ancient oak woodland. The path climbs steadily alongside the burn before emerging at the falls, where the water drops in two stages into a dark pool below. One of Arran's best short walks, and one that rewards the effort regardless of the season — the falls are at their most impressive after a period of rain. A Viking fort sits at the top of the glen, adding a second reason to press on beyond the falls.
