Whiting Bay punches above its size when it comes to walking and scenery. The standout walk is to Glenashdale Falls, a spectacular two-tier waterfall reached through ancient oak woodland — one of the finest short walks on Arran. At the top of the glen sits a Viking fort with wide views back over the bay. Above the village, the Neolithic chambered cairns known as the Giants' Graves are a quieter and older discovery, sitting on the moorland in an atmospheric setting. The bay itself is a gentle pleasure: sandy, safe for paddling, and backed by views across to Ayrshire. A small gallery in the village shows work by local and Scottish artists.
