The Museum of Banff is a small local museum founded in 1828 and housed in the town library building. Its collection reaches back into Banff's older civic history, with items such as the medieval burgh cross and a claymore from the early 1300s.
It is not a grand museum, but it gives useful context before walking the town centre, harbour, and nearby historic houses.
