NE Dive runs guided scuba diving from Banff Harbour on the Moray Firth coast. The water here is cold — drysuit recommended year-round — but remarkably clear by UK standards, and the marine life is good: dense kelp forests, sea urchins, edible crabs, and seals that occasionally come to investigate divers. The harbour itself offers sheltered entry, making it accessible even for newer divers. The Banffshire coast also has a handful of wreck sites for those who want more than reefs.
