The Science Centre — formerly Sensation — sits on the western waterfront and is aimed squarely at families with primary-school-age children. The main draw is the hands-on exhibits about the human senses, illusions, and bio-medical research; Dundee is a major centre for life sciences and the displays connect to current research at the university just up the hill.
Allow about ninety minutes. The cafe is well-set-up for the family crowd. Often combined with a visit to the V&A and RRS Discovery next door for a full waterfront day.
