Inverleith Park is a large, well-maintained Victorian park that sits immediately north of the Royal Botanic Garden, making the two an easy combined visit. The park has a formal walled garden, a boating pond, tennis courts, and a wide open central lawn with one of the best uncluttered views of the Edinburgh skyline — the castle and the Old Town ridge visible to the south over the rooftops. Busy with families and dog walkers at weekends, quieter on weekday mornings.
