Fyvie Castle is the reason most visitors come to this part of Aberdeenshire. The village itself is quiet; the appeal is in the surrounding countryside — the River Ythan, the ruins of Gight Castle, fishing at Seggat pond, and the golf course. The Haddo House estate (National Trust for Scotland), Bennachie hill, and the Buchan coastline are all within easy reach by car.
