The Auld Hoose

A traditional Scottish pub on Forth Street in the centre of town, with a good rotation of Scottish ales, an open fire in winter, and a stone-walled room that has been a pub for over a century. Locals and visitors mix in roughly equal measure.

The food is pub-standard (steak pie, fish and chips, haggis neeps and tatties) but solid. The Sunday roast is worth booking for.
