The town has a handful of good independent cafes. Steampunk, a small-batch coffee roaster on the High Street, is the best espresso in town. The Beach House Café on Quality Street has sea views and serves all-day breakfast. For evening drinks, the Auld Hoose on Forth Street is a proper old pub with local ales; the Ship Inn down at the harbour is the seafront alternative.
