Getting There

Holyhead is the end of the A55 expressway from Chester and the western terminus of the North Wales main line. The train from London Euston takes three and a half hours via Crewe and Chester. The Stena Line and Irish Ferries both run two or three sailings a day to Dublin Port and DĂșn Laoghaire, taking around three and a quarter hours on the conventional ferry or two hours on the fast craft. Walk-on foot passengers go straight from the train platform across the Celtic Gateway bridge to the terminal.
