The ruined remains of a late-medieval Welsh hall, sitting on a wooded shoulder of Bryn Euryn just behind Colwyn Bay. Only a single tall gable wall with its great central fireplace stands intact, but the foundations of the rest of the building can be traced in the grass around it.
The site is reached by a short path from the Bryn Euryn car park and makes a natural pairing with the climb to the summit. There is no entrance fee and the ruins are unfenced, which is part of the charm — you can wander among them and try to picture the large Welsh household that once lived here. Information boards explain the building's two main phases.
