Rhos-on-Sea (Llandrillo-yn-Rhos) sits at the western end of Colwyn Bay and works as a quieter complement to its neighbour. The seafront here is more open, with a long promenade backed by a strip of small shops, cafes and ice-cream stalls. The Cayley Promenade extends along the cliff towards Penrhyn Bay and the Little Orme.
The Harlequin Puppet Theatre and the Chapel of St Trillo are both on the seafront here, within a hundred metres of each other. The beach is shingly closer to Rhos Point and sandier as it sweeps east towards Colwyn Bay itself.
