Victoria Pier

Victorian pier rebuilt as a short pavilion on the promenade

A short Victorian seaside pier on Colwyn Bay's promenade, opened in 1900. The original 200-metre structure burned down twice and a long battle over restoration finally ended with a much-reduced version reopening in 2021. What remains is essentially a pavilion-and-decking entrance, rather than the long walk over the sea you might expect, but it forms a focal point on the seafront with a cafe, occasional concerts and a sundeck looking out over the bay.

Visit as part of a walk along the promenade. The new sea wall, sandy beach and cycle path all converge here.
