North Beach

Wide family beach below the Georgian seafront

The larger of Tenby's main beaches, North Beach is a long sweep of pale sand running below the cliffs and the Georgian terraces of the Croft. At low tide it stretches out for hundreds of metres, leaving plenty of room for sandcastles, dog walking and lazy afternoons. It is the busier and more family-oriented of the two town beaches, with deckchair hire and ice cream sellers in season.

Goscar Rock, the chunk of limestone marooned on the sand, is the spot every visitor photographs. The beach is patrolled by lifeguards through the summer and the bathing water quality is consistently good.
