St. Lawrence Gap is the nightlife spine of Barbados. The strip is compact enough to walk end to end in ten minutes, but the bars and clubs vary enormously in character — from open-air rum punch bars playing old-school soca to louder venues with DJs going until 3am. Things get moving after 10pm and peak around midnight. Outside the Gap, beach bars along the south coast are ideal for sundowners: find a stool, order a Banks beer or a rum and ginger, and watch the light go.
