Legal

Small Alberta town known for outdoor murals celebrating French-Canadian and Métis heritage.

Legal is a small town about 45 kilometres north of Edmonton, best known for its outdoor mural program. More than thirty murals painted on buildings throughout town depict the area's French-Canadian and Métis heritage, making an aimless walk through the streets surprisingly rewarding for a place this size.

Beyond the murals, there isn't a lot to detain you — but Legal makes a pleasant stop on a drive through central Alberta's farming country, and its proximity to St. Albert and Edmonton means you're never far from bigger-town amenities.
