George Little Park

The central downtown park, named after George Little, the prospector who founded Terrace in 1905. It sits next to the restored 1925 train station and the visitor centre, and is the focus of the city's summer events — Riverboat Days at the start of August in particular.

The park is small but the trees are mature and well kept, with a bandstand, a memorial cairn, and a few totem poles. The Skeena Heritage Walk passes through, linking the downtown to the riverfront. Good place to orient yourself on arrival.
