The Henley course sits on the canalised channel of Twelve Mile Creek between Port Dalhousie and Martindale Pond. The 2,000-metre straight is one of the few internationally certified rowing courses in Canada and hosts the Royal Canadian Henley Regatta each August — the largest annual rowing event in North America, with over 3,000 athletes and more than 250 races spread over five days.
Outside regatta weeks the course is used by Brock University rowers and visiting crews. The boathouses, the wooded banks, and the long view down the course toward the lake make a pleasant short walk from Port Dalhousie at any time.
