Meridian Centre

5,300-seat arena, home of the Niagara IceDogs of the OHL

Address 1 IceDogs Way

The Meridian Centre, opened in 2014, is the city's main arena and the home of the Niagara IceDogs of the Ontario Hockey League — the major junior tier that funnels players to the NHL. Tickets are inexpensive by professional standards, the crowd is loud, and the standard of play is high.

The arena also hosts concerts (mid-tier touring acts), occasional national basketball games, family shows, and the annual Niagara Wine Festival weekend events. The building sits at the south end of the downtown core, a short walk from the restaurants on St. Paul Street.
