A Spadina institution and one of the most reliable places in Chinatown for dim sum, served all day rather than only at brunch. Order from the picture menu or flag down a passing trolley: har gow, siu mai, rice rolls, sticky rice in lotus leaf, and barbecued pork buns arrive fast and cheap.
It is busy, brightly lit and functional rather than refined, with shared tables at peak times and brisk service. Cash-friendly and easy on the wallet, it remains a default Chinatown lunch even as flashier places have come and gone around it.
