Day Trips

Almost everything that makes Dominica famous is a day trip from Roseau. The Trafalgar Falls, twin cascades in the Roseau Valley, are 15 minutes by road; the bubbling, sulphurous Boiling Lake is a strenuous but iconic six-hour hike from the village of Laudat; Champagne Reef just south of town is the easiest snorkelling site, fizzing with volcanic gas bubbles. Further afield, the Emerald Pool in the Morne Trois Pitons National Park and the Indian River near Portsmouth are popular half-day excursions.
