Getting There

Dominica has no major international airport — Douglas-Charles Airport (DOM) in the north of the island handles regional flights only, via American Eagle from San Juan and inter-Caribbean carriers from Antigua, Barbados, Guadeloupe and Martinique. From the airport, a taxi to Roseau takes about 75 minutes across the mountains.

Many visitors arrive by ferry from Guadeloupe or Martinique on L'Express des Îles, which docks at the Roseau ferry terminal in the heart of town. Cruise ships berth at the Roseau Cruise Ship Berth on the waterfront, putting passengers directly into the old town.
