Things to Do

Nuuk is a small capital with a concentrated set of sights, most of them within walking distance of the old colonial quarter. The Greenland National Museum is the essential visit; the Katuaq cultural centre is the main venue for events; and the old harbour area provides the best sense of the city's history. Beyond the city, the surrounding fjord system is the real draw — boat trips into the landscape are easily arranged.
