Panajachel is the lake's transport hub, but it has enough to justify a day or two: the nature reserve, the lakefront docks, a small museum, and easy trips to Santa Catarina Palopó and Sololá market. The best thing to do is still simple: get on a lancha and cross the lake in clear morning light.
