Getting There

Ciudad Juárez is served by Abraham González International Airport (CJS), which handles domestic Mexican flights on Aeroméxico and low-cost carriers. Most international visitors arrive via El Paso International Airport (ELP) across the border in Texas, which has far more connections including direct flights to major US cities and some international routes.

From El Paso, four international bridges cross to Juárez. The Paso del Norte bridge (also called the Santa Fe Bridge) connects downtown El Paso to Avenida Juárez and is the most convenient for foot crossings. The Bridge of the Americas handles car traffic 24 hours. Pedestrian crossing takes 5–20 minutes southbound; northbound queues can be longer. By bus from El Paso, Sun Metro connects to the border crossing points.
