Parque la Piedra Lisa is a small city park with a memorable local object at its centre: a polished volcanic rock that generations of children have used as a natural slide. Colima folklore gives the stone a bigger role, saying that anyone who slides down it is destined to return to the city.
It is a short, cheerful stop rather than a reason to cross town on its own. Pair it with the nearby museums or cathedral area, and treat it as a bit of Colima character: part playground, part urban legend, part reminder of the volcanoes that shape the region.
