Club Náutico is the most atmospheric of Guaymas's bar-restaurants, located at the marina with views across the harbour. It functions as both a seafood restaurant and a gathering point for the sailing and fishing crowd who use the marina; on weekend evenings there is often live music, usually norteño or mariachi, that carries across the water. The shrimp dishes are reliable and the cold beer arrives fast.
The crowd is a mix of local workers, sport fishermen, and the occasional cruising sailor from the marina. The atmosphere is relaxed and unhurried in a way that's typical of Guaymas at its best — port-town practical rather than resort-polished, with good fresh seafood and an honest relationship with the sea outside the door.
