The Centro Fotográfico Álvarez Bravo is a photography centre named for Manuel Álvarez Bravo, one of Mexico's great 20th-century photographers. It occupies a restored colonial building and mounts changing exhibitions by Mexican and international photographers.
It is an easy stop while walking Oaxaca's historic centre. The exhibitions change often, so the draw is less a fixed collection than the chance to see sharp contemporary and documentary photography in a calm, handsome space.
