Oaxaca's sights cluster into two: the colonial city (Santo Domingo, the zócalo, the cathedral, the cultural museum) and the Zapotec archaeological sites in the valley around it. Allow two days for the city and at least a day each for Monte Albán and the Mitla-Tule-mezcal village circuit.
