Puerto Escondido's beaches are dramatically different from each other. Zicatela is dangerous and spectacular, Carrizalillo and Puerto Angelito are calm and swimmable, Bacocho is wild and isolated. Knowing which is which before you walk in is worth the two minutes of research.
